What is orthopedic?

What is traumatology?
Traumatology is a medical specialty that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of traumatic injuries to the musculoskeletal system. This includes fractures, dislocations, sprains and bruises, among others. Traumatologists usually work in emergency rooms or trauma units to care for patients who have suffered some type of serious injury.
In addition to treating traumatic injuries, traumatologists are also responsible for their prevention and rehabilitation. This includes the design of prevention programs for athletes and the rehabilitation of patients who have suffered a serious injury and need to regain their mobility.
